2024 season - important update.
The sea defence works that were originally planned for the summer of 2022 but were put back on several occasions are FINALLY happened in 2023.
The main part of the work was completed in December, but there is still some work to do meaning we are unable to plan for 2024 so the bar and and rooms will not be opening for the 2024 season.
It is however avaiable for group stays, sleeping up to 22 people. Exclusive use of the Main Building including full use of the bar area, two kitchens and cliff top garden and hot tub and swim spa.
As always the cheapest way to book this is to book direct.
Our Holiday homes are also available to book and the cheapest way is via this website. Please note that the caravans are self catering and there will be no other facilities open at Anchors Drop.

Located on the cliff at Blue Anchor, Anchor's Drop is a unique opportunity to stay on the cliffs at Blue Anchor. The now famous Blue Anchor cliff falls, landslips and coastal erosion, meant that The Blue Anchor pub was in danger of falling into the sea over. BUT IT HAS NOW BEEN SAVED and will be here for many years to come.
Anchor's Drop provides self catering holiday homes, a 4 bedoom apartment (sleeps 8) and is aviable for group stays. Accommodation right next to the sea,
The orginal part of the building was built in the 1600s and has been added to over the years. Anchor's Drop overlooks Blue Anchor Bay, with Exmoor and North Hill in the background. Anchor's Drop still retains its original charm.
Anchor's Drop is located in Blue Anchor that is between Minehead and Watchet and ideally located for exploring the surrounding area.
Location
Anchor's Drop is located inbetween Watchet and Minehead on the West Somerset coast and is just a 40 minute drive from Taunton or Bridgewater.
The Exmoor National Park features traditional farms, barns, dry stone walls, moor land crosses, historic buildings and picturesque villages.
Ample free car parking on site.

Holiday Homes and Apartment
Anchor's Drop has 6 holiday homes (static caravans) available on a weekly and 2 nightly basis. All have two bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds. All have a kitchen with all cooking facilities and living room and bath room. The Holiday Homes have their own central heating and are double glazed.
Anchors Drop also has a 4 bedroom apartment available for various lengths of stay.
